In 2002 and 2005, and now in 2022, Nike pays tribute to Caribbean culture through a variation of its iconic Air Force 1.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low West Indies features an all-white leather upper, adorned with “West Indies” embroidery and a palm tree on the heel. A yellow fabric lining provides contrast and complements the heel tab and outsole. This silhouette is unveiled during the West Indian Day Parade Carnival held annually in New York.
In 2022, the Swoosh brand had already reissued this Caribbean-inspired silhouette with the Nike Air Force 1 Low Retro West Indies (2022).
