Nike Air Max 1 Wabi-Sabi

Our beloved Air Max 1 is celebrating its 35th anniversary! In honor of this special occasion, Nike is unveiling a unique version of its iconic model, exclusively released in Asia and South America as part of the 2022 Air Max Day.

The Nike Air Max 1 Wabi-Sabi draws inspiration from a Japanese philosophy that highlights beauty in imperfection and simplicity. It features a white canvas upper complemented by overlays of blush pink leather and ochre leather. Various brown suede and khaki green overlays on the mudguard and heel create a mismatched effect, adding a unique touch to the shoes. The entire structure is adorned with white stitching, while red embroideries form the number “XXXV” to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Air Max line. A “Have A Nike Day” motif covers the heel, and the shoes rest on an aged sole with cracked patterns on the gum outsole.

Filled with subtle details, this limited edition of Tinker Hatfield’s design is presented alongside the Blueprint and La Ville Lumière versions.
